Deceptive Regulars
When coming to a popular spot like my job, it's hard to know which of the regular customers you can trust and those you want to watch like a hawk.
Take for instance Customer A. Now Customer A comes in and bowls at my job just about every Sunday. Usually, we have a huge waiting list on Sunday and Thursday nights. This guy insists that he called in for the reservation ahead of time but his name isn't in the book or on the list. For some reason, when I write his name down on the list he insists to get higher on the list. According to the connical list, he's sort of a Parking Scammer but I've seen him around. His friends though, are just plain dicks because since all bowling alleys require you to have shoes with leather soles to bowl, Customer A says that he already has shoes and they just go bowl. My manager asks me to go check and when I try to get a look into the shoes, Customer A tries to get in front of me and says "Yeah, their bowlin' shoes, son!" (He's a mix of black and filipino, think about it) I straight up told them to either pay for shoe rental or I'm having you pay for the games now with no refunds. And they folded quick.
Damn Kids!
Ever since I started working here in May, there was this kid that I'm calling Customer B who comes into the alley and thinks that him and I are friends. He usually comes in on Saturdays or Sundays but when he comes to redeem his free game coupons he constantly wants to try and get my attention. I can't do any work without him yelling crap like "Brian, you're cute!" at me and acts really gay in front of his friends. I told both shift managers "I'm not going to deal with him. If I deal with him and he wants to act like an ass than I'm going to physically throw him out on the street no matter if I get fired or not." One shift manager agreed with me and said that he might help me out lol. The other shift manager said "Do it when I'm in my office, when the head mechanic is in the back, and when the GM isn't around." Wednesday, he was redeeming his coupons, I was helping another customer with possibly planning a birthday party, he's constantly yelling "Brian, you're cute!" like every 30 seconds. I ignored him and then it got to a point where he used his cell phone to call the main phone to say the same thing. I got pissed and told him that I was busy and hung up on him. Later, when he came back the next day, my manager was talking to him and all he said was, "I was only saying he was cute." and that pissed me off when she told me. So I don't think I'm going to put up with helping him any longer depending on what's going on.
