I haven't read this whole thread but http://www.211.org/ If you have to quit, 211 helps with food/employment/housing and all kinds of other things. People who are in programs or going through affiliate companies (like local employment centers, NOT COMPANIES, or programs like 211) are more likely to get the job.

If you work at abank can you try for a job at a DIFFERENT bank? (change of enviroment/scenery might help.)
