      Hey! I'll have you know I logged almost 30 minutes in MS Flight Simulator 2 years ago.

        Quite often, no they don't. Perfect example....a girl named Dawn was at my bar a few days ago. When I said her name, she said, "No. My name is DAWN. Not DON." Out west where I am from (and where I am guessing you are from), the two names are pronounced very similarly. But to many other people, they are not. The AW is drawn out. While that is not an issue in the West, most people in the West already know how to pronounce Tucson. So THEY are not the ones with the pronunciation issues.
