Well, not me. The customer.
We accept the local college's student id as payment. So here's the dialogue:
Me: Thank you for calling, can I help you?
Student: Do you have my student id number?
Me: Um, no. We don't keep records of those.
Student: But I lost my card!
Me: Well, even if you knew your card number, the driver has to verify the card, so you still couldn't use it.
Student: But I lost my card! You mean I can't use it?
Me: Um, no.
Student: I lost it like two weeks ago! Why can't I use my card?
Me: You need to let the school know, and then buy a new card. It's normally five or ten bucks.
Student: So I can't use it?
Me: No.
Student: Ok then. **hangs up**
