  • Let's Keep It A Clean Fight

I was not at work when this all went down, my boss told this to me. Since she is not on the site, I figure I'd post it.

So as some you know our hotel owns the adjoining laundromat. It was a normal day when Guy #1 comes into to do his laundry seeing that he had 20 minutes to spare he went on a quick errand. He claims that he came back in fifteen minutes later.

Guy 2# enters, he wants to use the machine that Guy 1# was using (the biggest one). He swears that he waited for 20 minutes after the washer stopped and guy did not return. He puts the wet clothes into Guy 1#s basket, however he dropped a few items on the floor and left them there.

Guy 1# returns to find his wet clothes strewn about gets in Guy 2#s face and soon the cops have to be called. While I would never leave my clothes unattended at a public laundromat, I understand Guy 1#s anger. WTF was up with Guy 2#? There were eleven unused washers in the place that he could have used. Instead he chose to remove someone else's clothes and leaves half of them on the floor.

I bet this guy goes into a public bathroom and yells at the one guy on the wall of urinals to hurry up.

Maybe he was numerically obsessive compulsive and had to use that specific washer? Heh.. *shrug*

Sounds like the laundry room for the apartment building my sister lives at.

Public laundromats seriously need keys on the washers. Too much abuse can happen otherwise.

Yeah, like public lockers. Then I could actually get something else done or take my son to the park while I'm waiting for my laundry. As it is now I'm too afraid someone will steal my clothes while I'm gone.

The problem with that idea is the room for abuse by SC's. As it is, there are already peopl who will leave their laundry in the laundromat far too long, hogging up the washers or dryers from other people while they are off doing whatever. That is why I don't use public laundromats anymore, other than to drop off my laundry with their dropoff service. Costs a few more bucks, but saves me gobs of time and in the long run, I am willing to pay the extra money for the extra convenience.

Unless it was one large item, like a bedspread or something, that had to go in the large washer. In which case he still should have picked up whatever he dropped!
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.
