Crocheting with fabric is fun sometimes. (hurts my hands after a bit tho) but you can make all sorts of neat stuff with it. My grandmother made a casserole carrier once.

My dog loves to pick up the yarn I'm using and walk away with it. Half the time I don't notice, and all the sudden something's tugging on my crochet hook. I look down and there's an entire ball of yarn leading around the house.

My son does that. The cat just sits by my feet and tries to bite the working yarn.

The rabbit did that too! He'd nibble on it as it went past his nose. The trick was to keep the yarn loose so he didn't notice it was there.
