I know that some companies (both consulting and otherwise) will have an office in Toronto for all of Southern Ontario. That could add up and, as was suggested, he might not have been going down to empty.
I'm also not familiar with being able to turn in receipts for mileage, however I'm used to it more than covering the expenses - generally companies will go with whatever the max amount per kilometre that the government allows, which covers depreciation for the car as well as the fuel itself. If I do get a consulting job, I will have major financial incentive to get a hybrid...

As for the rest of the questions....
-most if not all taxis in Australia (or at least my state) run on LPG/Autogas (it has two labels for some odd reason....) and the vouchers are invalid with them.
-fuel expenses maybe, but unless he's commuting out to the country every single day, not bloody likely.
-I could also say that he may be doing that as well, (Only putting in $10) which would be an abuse of the system and frankly would mean that he needs to HTFU like the rest of us and fill his tank up. (at the moment, $20 gets me about 1/3 of a tank)
I think I would've been ready to jump this guy. Him and the allergic lady are the two biggest checkout hogs. Allergic lady gets her own checkout, but it takes forever to serve her (I don't...she's allergic to the hand sanitizer, which makes me suspect she's actually allergic to the rubbing alcohol in it).Last edited by fireheart; 02-10-2010, 11:03 AM.The best professors are mad scientists! -Zoom
