So we're currently running a certain promotion of sorts. Not going to go what it is exactly since it WILL give away where I work, but let's just say that there are a lot more long-term specials than usual.
Anyway....I had a gentleman point to the EAS gates where they were covered with the material advertising said promotion and state that it was false advertising. i quickly finish up and then add this on the end:
"Sir, if you do believe that it's false advertising, you are more than welcome to take it to the ACCC." (Aussie version of the BBB) And I add a HUGE smile on the end
Gentleman gives me a CBF and then stomps off. We never actually did hear from the ACCC.
Next customer in line:
