Anyone else had any customers who weren't sucky in the normal run of things but were sucky to you personally?

A story from 25 years ago so I can laugh about it now.

My fiance had been seeing another woman, I found about it and he left me, not long after that he decided to marry her.His mother never liked me (important to story).

At the time I worked in a card shop in his locality, and I went to work as normal on the day of his wedding, trying not to think about it.

In comes his mother and calmly asks me if I sold confetti as she was going to a wedding.

I burst out crying and had to be sent home.

But, not a sucky request unless you knew the background to it.

As for him, she had an affair with someone else and left him not long after, served him right, I guess.
Customer "why did you answer the phone if you can't help me?"

What. A BITCH! I'm glad it was long ego enough for you to be over it now. Served him right indeed, too!

Wow, that woman was one bitter old shrew!

She went in, with malice afore-thought, purely for the purpose of harrassing you.

Although, it's rather comforting to know the marriage failed, anyway.

TelephoneAngel, you are SO lucky to not have become related to this woman.

I once had holidays on one week, then my grandfather passed away shortly afterwards. After travelling 2000 miles there and back in the span of 3 days I had a customer say this "wow must be nice to get so much time off... do you ever work?"

My co-worker was kind enough to bust into the conversation say that I was away for a funeral... I loved that girl!

That was incredibly mean spirited of her to say the least but I think that was a blessing in disguise for you to not have that shrew as your MIL. Served that jackass right for leaving you like that!

Yes, that's definitely the case here. And Karma kicked him in the ass big time.

As for the mother...what a bitch. I bet she said it all sweet as sugar with a big smile on her face, too. Wonder if the daughter-in-law bailed out of the marriage to get away from her?
