SC walks in and asks the rate for the room.
    Me: $69.99 plus tax.
SC: $69.99 THAT'S TOO MUCH!! WHY DOES THE SIGN OUTSIDE SAY $35.99?
Me: That sign is for the Motel 6 which is right behind us.

SC agrees to pay the rate. I get the info and ask for a CC
    SC: I DON'T HAVE A CREDIT CARD.
Me: I can take cash. I just need $100 deposit that gets returned to you in the morning.
SC: $100 DEPOSIT? THAT'S TOO MUCH!!

SC pays the full amount for deposit and room.

As I was in the middle of typnig this, I had a guest check in who informed me that said Motel 6 is sold out. Guess she's stuck paying the rate we charge.
To right the countless wrongs of our days... We shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise...Oh, what a wonderful world such would be...

How dare you not honor rates that aren't yours because I read it how I wanted to so you must follow my wishes.
My sister used to work in a hotel. nobody liked the rates so they decided to go over to the motel 6. Usually after seeing the quality they can back and she loved throwing on an extra $20 because two people checked in by the time the first couple realized the quality was substandard at the other hotels in the area. Which, The fun part was all the hotels in that area were owned by the same family so if they hated comfort suites price they still got money with motel 6.
I'm sorry reading is not a new concept it has been widely taught in our nation for at least the past 100 years. Please, learn to do it CORRECTLY before you become contagious.

We're the opposite. I work at M6 (one of the cleanest you'll ever find, if I may toot my own horn ). Our rates are more expensive than most others in our chain because, well the whole town is like that. They'll storm out the door saying "This is the most expensive M6 ever I'm not staying here blah blah blah." Half an hour later, they slump through my door with their tail between their legs after seeing what all the competition charges...

I wonder what this customer would say when he saw our M6 charging 89.99 for the Olympics a couple weeks ago?

It's always good to see an idiot get pwned

Some of you have probably heard this already...but I got to pwn someone at a car show awhile back. No hotel rooms were involved, but rather model kits. I'd seen a certain racing flick starring Steve McQueen, and it wasn't long before the idea of building one of the Porsche 917s popped into my head. But, because those kits were hard-to-find, I filed that idea away for later

That is, until I went to the car show, and saw that one of the stands had several 917 model kits on display, including one in Gulf colors! When I saw it the "wanty!" light went on...but unfortunately, someone else was apparently thinking the same thing. Actually, he was complaining to the vendor about how it cost too much. So, he put the kit back, and walked away.

No sooner do I pick it up, when another guy said "another McQueen fan, eh?" Seems he had the same idea...but wasn't going to fight me for it. I bought that car (and a Citroen 2CV), he bought the others. As we're in line, we got to talking about models--seems he already had the McQueen car, but wanted to collect as many 917s in as many paint schemes as possible.

Anyway, as we're standing there, the first guy came back...and the look on his face was great
