What is really annoying about saying how nice it is outside?
The fact that it isn't nice at all outside.
Person comes in, barely standing, sweating profusely in the unbareable heat. The newspaper headlines all are about crops failing, people dropping dead of heat stroke, forest fires raging and entire towns having to evacuate. Water restrictions are the word of the day. A couple of towns had to litterally close all restraunts and hotels and have water trucked in for the residents to drink.
The customer is about to die, he is here to buy a drink to desperately quench the thirst and heat of this horrid day. Outside buzzards are circling and heat waves are visible off the pavement. he even comment on how horribly hot it is.
And what does he say?
"Wonderful weather outside today!"
Seriously buddy? Seriously? The world has gone mad!
It is not wonderful weather, it is horrible, terrible weather! It is a draught damn it! the only good thing about this weather is that I am making a fortune selling suckers like you bottled water at $2 a pop, "Thank you and come again, if you survive"
