  • It's Fog, not the airlines fault!

People are so stupid. It's foggy so most UK airports are subject to delays. And still, passengers kick off! There's nothing we can do about it, so get some perspective!

It's for safety reasons, do the passengers really want to die?

Apparently they do. Some people in Denver are bitching about the delays from the snow.

On break today I was half listening to CNN

I'm pretty sure I heard them reporting that the airport workers in Denver had finaly reached the CS breaking point and were flat out telling people to shut the hell up and stop whining.

And the airline would be blamed if there was an accident and a plane took off and crashed due to weather. So we can't really win! I can appreciate it's frustating for passengers but the crew and ground staff have lives too, we don't choose to get marooned at airports either.

I just don't understand how passengers can complain about adverse weather conditions. We keep them informed, tell them what we can do for them etc and STILL they whine.

You're working at an airport?? My god you have my full sympathy. I've been watching the news thinking 'just send all the moaning idiots up on a plane and be done with them'. If I was told at check in it was dangerous to fly i'd thank the check in person and be done with it, not whinge and moan about having my life protected.
Walking home tonight I could barely see the road infront of me so I can't imagine a plane flying.

God I hate people. I'm glad the airlines at least find their planes worth more than a few hours of some idiot's time.

Seriously, if the airline ever gave in to some guy trying to get a liftoff in 0cm visibility, I would, without restraint, pull out the SC-ness deep within me and demand a different flight. Planes already freak me out. I don't even like taking off in light rain.

Wow, that must be hard working at the airport. Just think of the chaos you could accidently create as well as other problems if you make a mistake/leave something laying where it should not be.

Just remind them of when half the Man United team died in a plane crash when their plane tried to take off in fog. That should put their delay in perspective.
