Short one.

I was having a conversation with a customer, and somehow I must've given her the idea I was a joking sort. I certainly laughed at the moment.

She asks if I have a sense of humor.

And pulls out a dick shaped lighter!

I was laughing then (I felt almost obligated to), but...now I'm disgusted.

Mainly because there was a single mom with kids behind this lady...


On a side note, I'm becoming more and more burned out by my time at Malmart. I'm starting to hate everything about the inside of that store. I hate having to see it at all. What do you all suggest?

Quitting. I've been there nearly 5 years (except, of course, for the unjust 7 months of leave I got put on). Get yourself out before they ruin your soul.

I'd suggest a vacation. You sound burned out, and need a little time off to recharge.

Even if it's a staycation, it'll help. Pamper yourself with a facial and manicure, do stuff around town, visit some stores and museums you've never been to.

Start looking for a place thats less soul crushing than Walmart. I've never gone there where I've seen anyone smiling.

Keep your job while looking however. I've been out of work for 4 months now and I've gotten maybe three callbacks for God knows how many applications I've filled out.
