See, I have a nice ability that I can imitate almost any accent I hear, and if I am surrounded by a particular accent, often enough I start picking it up without even realizing it.

Ditto. It's one of the reasons my natural accent is so thick, becuase it's a mash off all the CB accents.

But I'm happy I pick up accents quickly. I have friends who speak more languages than I do, but aren't as talented with accents. So people can usually tell they aren't at native speaker. I speak Italian so smoothly that my professor from Northern Italy swears I could move there and no one would question the authenticity of my accent.
