I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that a simple wheelie will get those carts thru the doors.....

That, I think, will work best with an empty cart.

I've see people smack the door with them. How they do not notice the big pole to begin with is beyond me.

It is selective sight, which normally goes with selective hearing. They only see what they want to see, and only hear what they want to hear. Then blame it on somebody else when something happens. Its like all those signs in a store, despite them being HUGE and right in their face, it surely doesn't apply to them.

Most stores around here that don't let you take the carts to the parking lot have a pick-up service for groceries.
That'd be nice in one of the local cities. There is a city ordinance (yes, an actual LAW) that says no carts past the front of the store, and any store with carts must put up blockades to prevent the carts from entering the parking lot. A couple of the stores have carry out service, but not the big grocery stores....

Luckily I no longer live in said city....

Oh, we don't get carry-out. You give them your cart, and then you drive around to the door at the side of the building, and your cart is waiting for you there. I seriously need to start doing that with my bike, or else take the trailer in with me.

Seen the wheelies happen with a full cart before. But the guy who did that...left the cart in the lot.
