For the last couple months now, whenever I have a sighting of an SC throwing a tantrum and making unreasonable demands (like trying to make a return with no receipt and/or way outside the return period), and see the manager about to cave, I calmly and politely state the following:
"If you break policy to keep that person's business, you will lose mine. And between the two of us, I'm the one who reads your clearly posted signs, is not causing a disturbance, and came here to spend money. Your call."
Someone the manager grows a spine, and sometimes I set my shopping down, walk out, and never return.
I think I'm going to start taking pictures of the catbuttfaces I see when the manager sides against an sc and start a collection.
