I apologize for the way I worded that, Whiskey. I understand there are circumstances where some people don't even care if they are that private, it's for their own safety. I don't fault you for having yours set as such.

I would love to be able to set it that way, but old classmates (whom I don't mind) keep finding me and I like to add them. But yes, in between, random creepos and people from my past I'd rather pretend I never knew find me as well, and I have to deny the request (often multiple times before eventually just blocking them).

The privacy settings are great for people who don't want to make any friends.
I know. It's beautiful that way . (And yes, I understand that there are other reasons for doing that. It's a great way to let people who need the "WTF are you doing taking pictures of me???" level of security still have an online presence.)

I wonder where these people "learn" that stalking is the key to a healthy relationship?

          Don't hurt me

I haven't had people demanding my names etc. Dad did once. Had a guy shouting and abusing the passengers (TLR - Guy parked illegally in bus park, so dad blocked him in while unloading passengerrs from bus).
He said he was going to write to the holding company (e.g. XXX holdings, Address 1, Town)
Dad said "Thats fine, they won't have a clue who I am."
Angry man demanded dad's name (This bit is exactly as dad answered, no editing)
          Dad - "Donald"
AM - "AND YOUR LAST NAME?"
          Dad - "Duck"
