i could be wrong, but i believe it's dextromethorphan hydrobromide
    Yes, that's it.

And the second reason why you need to be 18, is because it's a cheap way to get high. IICR, it causes the same "trip" as Esctasy.

The same with the new "Schmylenol" Warming liquids, they contain a small amount of alcohol. As can be expected, people steal them to get drunk, like they steal rubbing alcohol.

I think Coricidin HB is another type of medicine in some places that are questionable too.
I don't think so; the HBP in the name specifically means it's PSE-free and therefore safe for people with high blood pressure. Other forms of Coricidin might be.

(Oh, and the problem with Mucinex-D is that it's also got PSE in it. The guaifenesin isn't restricted, so other forms of Mucinex can be on the open shelves, at least in this jurisdiction. As Slipknot pointed out, DM (or DXM as the druggies like to call it) may also be a restricted item in some areas, but we don't have to log it in the PSE book; that one's abused on its own, whereas PSE isn't particularly abuseable except insofar as it's useful for making meth out of, and that's what the Feds are interested in tracking.)

Incidentally, as there's been some confusion as to what's covered and what's not, here it is, straight from the horse's mouth as it were: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/me...ail_081106.pdf

Coricidin D contains dextromethorpan and chlorphenimirine maelate. The latter is an anti-histimine. Kids used to take Coricidin D to get high; now it's behind the counter in most places if it's available at all. It's the dextromethorpan that makes you high, but too high a dose of the chlorphenimirine has an anticholenergic effect that can be fatal (in English, it affects the nervous systems; parts of it shut down), leading to seizures coma and death.

Coricidin HBP is safe for people with hypertension. It lacks an ingredient present in the D version (PPA).

Security didn't even show up? People sure are wonderful.

And another thing, I still can't understand how people still go out without ID. You need to bring it with you, because you never know when you'll need it. Even if you're not going out to shop, you never know what's going to happen to you. Then again, I'm the kind of person who worries about stuff like getting killed two blocks away from home and people not recognizing me because I left my ID at home. Shrug.

The son was a grown man. I just didn't want to log the purchase under the mother's name if it was for the son, so I was making sure. I shouldn't have called him the son when I wrote what happened though, as it does make it seem as if he's much younger.
