Why would you get written up for calling the cops on that guy drinking and driving with a child?
Bad customer service. A couple weeks ago, she chastised me for shutting the window and walking away after a customer threatened to hit me. It was "bad customer service"

The woman who has worked there 25 years, makes less than 12/hr, and the bread guy (who came in tonight) says shes a cunt in full human form and he hates dealing with her ever?
Sounds like she's the one with the attitude problem. Granted, she knows she's going nowhere, and you've still got your whole life ahead of you. Methinks she's a bit jealous.

BTW, did they ever fix the hot water?

Look on the bright side. Just about everyone on this site has an "attitude problem".
        Not me, see my signature.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

I would have gone right to my union rep with that comment.

Yeah, the problem is we don't have an attitude willing to violate company policy, the law, common sense or reality to give these EWs what they want half an hour before they want it, and with genuine pleasure that we get the honour to serve them.

Franchise doesn't have HR. I have a workplace liaison since I'm crazy, but the woman is more of an advocate for my boss than me.

Aye...the downside of At-Will Employment...They really can fire someone without cause, or something silly and made up, should they so desire.

On the other hand, the upside is that workers can do the same -- Walk in, say "I really don't feel like working here today. Or ever.", turn in their uniform, and walk, without consequences.

While that is true, i cant call up every employee who applies at the store I quit on and go "NO HORRIBLE STORE WOULD NOT WORK THERE AGAIN"

but any job that calls for a reference will hear "Yeah.. she worked here. 2 weeks notice? no we didnt get that. rehire? ........NO"
