We all know the saying. I got to deal with it today.
We have a lunch delivery between 11 AM and 1PM. We can also deliver outside that time if special arrangements are made ahead of time, like the day before.
I get a call at 2:15 PM from a woman asking if we do lunch delivery, I stated that we do between 11-1. She didn't seem to quite get it and asked again if we do lunch delivery. I, again, said we do between 11-1. She finally got it, and said she won't be around tomorrow, and hung up.
A minute later another woman calls up, from the same #, and tries to stroke me over the phone telling me how much business she could bring my way, and wants a delivery. I told her that we deliver between 11-1. She then mentioned the "special arrangement" part. She thought by calling after 1 and asking for a delivery, right then, was "special arrangement". I told her what "Special arrangement" meant, and that there was no one to take a delivery, since there was no special arrangement made.
She hung up.
I'll ask it even though I know the answer: how can people be so stupid?
