I think it was about two British Isles can be squidged into Texas alone?
umm... Try the ENTIRETY of Europe will fit into Texas..... the main Island (Brittan, Scotland, Wales) will fit in the Panhandle appx.

**** my scale may be slightly off...Ireland may fit into the panhandle too.

Speaking of old money, I have three of the large US dollars (series of 1899, 1917 and 1923). The 1899 dollar has the portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses Grant on it. I think it would really freak out someone if I tried to spend them.

If they're the type I'm thinking of (sometimes called "horseblankets"), they'd never fit in a modern till anyway!

Out of curiosity, you might want to take them to the local coin shop and see what they'd offer for them.

Just imagine if someone tried to use this one.

The old educational series silver certificates. May be considered NSFW.

            Well, as I said, our currency is a big point patriotically for many UK residents. It's just another interesting contrast between the two countries and how they do things. Also our notes are a bit more colourful than yours;
I always have thought our (US) money is very drab compared to most countries. And as all bills are the same size and colour, we get a lot more "but I'm sure I gave you a $20 not a $10" than other countries, I would think.

I always loved that the UK notes were different colours, different sizes, made it much easier to be sure you grab the right one. And having the sizes different has got to be a great help to the blind.

            Madness takes it's toll....

When we put out cones for our pumps that aren't working, people don't care and they will run over the cones in order to use that pump. Then they will stand there and stare at us from inside wondering why we aren't turning the pump on.

We even put plastic bags on the nozzles to show them they are out of order, and they take those off too and try to use the pumps!

                  Well shoot.

Guess it's to the old wikilinks again. This should do it.

Again, some of these are probably NSFW.

(Anyone want to give tips on how to keep track of this stuff when you can't tell by looking?)
Um.... Use the numbers and keep it all faced and in order?

I've never had a problem knowing exactly how much cash I had on me, even when I work a booth selling stuff and money is coming in and out regularly. Then again, when I work a booth, I keep 10s and higher in my left pocket while 1s and 5s go into my right.

In some places, they're considered unlucky, so you can't spend them because the individual cashiers won't take them.
I keep them for several reasons. The first is that I'm a packrat collector, and 2s (along with the $1 coins) are rare enough that keeping all of them that I can locate doesn't end up taking much space (and it's a handy emergency fund). The fact that people get superstitious over the things is another.

(For those not in the US, Susan B. Anthony was on the silver dollar coin from 79-81 and in 99. From '99 to the present, there were Sacagawea brass dollar coins. And starting in '07, they started minting a Presidential brass dollar series as well.)
The Sacajawea brass dollar coins go dingy-looking quite fast. I was really disappointed in how shabby they all tend to be after being in circulation for a short time. The presidential series seems to stay shiny longer, for some reason.

Ah, I was trying to keep it all in my wallet. Doesn't work that well if you do that, because then I can't keep see what's what until I take it out of the wallet. And there's way more bills than normal because you still have bills under $5. (Although no $2?) I'm sure it's easy if you're used to it, I just always do it by how they look instead of memorizing what I've got in my wallet and counting.
