A few months ago my store went through a remodel and for a few weeks we had no mens fitting room. So we had to escort the men to the mens restroom and wait outside while they tried the clothes on.

Many people complained at how gross it was or said never mind that they won't try the clothes on and walked out.

We all totally agreed that it was gross but that was the decision our manager made. I am sure she could have come up with a better solution but our company doesn't think enough men try on clothes so they don't care.

When are fitting rooms were completed the womens side have about 20 fitting rooms and the mens side only has 2.

Wouldn't it be fun to sell pregnancy tests which would always show positive unless they had been through the checkout?

Well, there are now home yeast infection/vaginal infection tests. I'm waiting for home STD tests.

Just picture the boxes. A home syphilis test with Al Capone on it. A home gonohrrea test with John Dillinger on it. It'd be hilarious.

Then she glared at me & said..."I'm not stealing this stuff". I said..'I didn't say you were".
i'm thinking that's why she was so pissed off. because she got caught trying to steal.

The question is, do the pregnancy tests ever end up out of the washroom...
tho just because it was in the washroom trash doesn't automatically mean it was stolen.
tho perhaps that's why my favorite grocery store keeps the bathroom right by the front. so it'd be obvious if you want in with unpaid merchandise...

The local now-defunct Circuit City had a novel solution: security scanners just outside the bathroom door, which locks for a few seconds when the scanners go off. Simple genius, walmart should do that.

Should, but won't. I've been begging for years.

I can't convince my managers to do anything to improve bathroom security . . . ie . . . we haven't got any.
                No bathrooms? Or no security?

Actually, I've got a solution for that: Buy Wet Ones, and keep the reciet, and bring them with you when you go to a public restroom. That's what I do.

Then you just use the Wet Ones to wipe off your toilet seat and door handle. Instantly safer and cleaner.
And since you brought the receipt with you, you can return them saying you don't need them anymore.

My personal favorite cart in the restroom was old lady, who claimed that she didn't want her cart stolen, so she brought it in the restroom. At my store, due to the layout the restrooms on the sales floor are singe occupancy non-handicap and rather small. The handicap restroom our on the 2nd floor just before the door to the offices, break room, etc (yes their is a elevator).

Anyway, she got the cart in the restroom but couldn't get it out. Apparently after a few minutes of trying, she started screaming and pulled the little switch for the emergency light and would not respond to a female managers knocks. SM called the Paramedics, to find her panicking that they were trapped. later we tried it, she could have got out, just without the cart.

That's one thing I love about Giant Eagle, every last one of them that I've been to that's been built by them has scanners at the entrances and the restrooms.

I may not work there anymore, but it's nice to see a company that's actually *doing* something about this sort of thing.
