...clearance, clearance EVERYWHERE!
This time of year is almost as bad as the Christmas rush at my store. I don't think there's anything in our fashions dept that isn't on clearance. Some items are 30% off, some 50% and others are 75% off.
In Michigan we're required to put the price on every item. Our clearance tags show the original price, the amount the original price has been reduced (i.e. 30% off original price) and the new clearance price is also listed. SC's just don't believe the tags, though. So, they're constantly asking "What's the price on this shirt?" or "That doesn't add up to 30% off." (Ah, yes it does.)
They think I'm a walking calculator and I stink at math. So, I have to use the calculator on the computer to show them that the new price is indeed 30% off the original price. The crazy thing is, they still want to argue about it.
