It doesn't happen very often, but often enough that it drives me absolutely crazy that people cannot seem to get the idea that you don't pile in 10 or 15 people. If you have that large of a group, TAKE THE FUCKING STAIRS!!

This happened to me again tonight. They asked me why the elevator stopped working. I told them that there were too many people. They got all offended that there is no way that their group could weigh over 2500, our weight limit.

yeah, thinking about it, that would take 25 people /if/ they all weighed 100 pounds, most adults weigh more than a bit over that. so it's not that hard to imagine hiting the weight limit

The elevators at the hospital make this horrible screeching noise when its over the limit...usually due to people cramming their asses in where they clearly dont fit.

I love seeing peoples faces as they run off the elevator thinking its going to crash. I always resist the urge to wave as the door closes and takes me upstairs.
