This was a phone call I took today.

SC: "Yeah, I need a room for tonight, the last name is S-M-I-T-H."

Okay, he just assumes I have rooms available...lucky for him I do.

Me: "Is that your first name or last name?"
SC: "Um, last name."
Me: "Okay, and your first name?"
SC: "Bob. No, wait! That's not right....um....uh..."

O....M....G....it's one of GK's callers! Ack, there's no place to run to!

SC: "...that's my dad's name....my name....John. It's John. First name is John."

Oh yes, I can't wait to check this guy in. I think he's going to be a ...special case.

Check-in was normal. Based on the guy's age, his father's long passed on (if not, then he's in the record books for oldest living person). Perhaps the guy was senile?
