Them license plates is hard

In my state, we switched from red letters on white to blue letters on white, (in the sun, the red letters faded to pink, so it was basically unreadable, I guess it was cheap paint).

Red fades. You can see this all over, really. It's particularly funny when you see a sign with the big red circle and slash, but the red's gone, and all that's left is the thing that's supposed to be not done.

You're not odd. I see roleplaying abbreviations in many peoples' numbers. My faves are LVL-2819 and HPS-9320. I wouldn't want to meet either of those guys in a game!

You'd hate me, too. My place had the letters HAX.

Here in California, the plates can stay with the car, forever, as far as I know. We just have to get new registration tags on every year.

The only time I really knew my plate was when it was BEXLENT. When I junked that car, I kept the plates, and gave one to a friend who is a big Bill & Ted fan. He actually lives near Keanu Reeves, and has gotten it signed.

Maybe it has just been my luck, but, the few times I've rented a car, they've always had the plate # (and make and color) written down on that huge dangly tag attached to the freakin' keys >_< Thus, this has never been an issue for me.
