The secret to super-thin apple slices: a cheese slicer.

I used to cut the carp out of my thumb with the paring knife until one day I couldn't find the paring knife and it was time to reduce a dozen apples to pie filling. So I rummaged around in the odd utensil drawer and came across the box style cheese grater. It had a slice side with a moderately sharp edge, so I thought to myself, "what do I have to lose?" Works like a dream.

Ya know, if one more person tells me I HAVE to leave the spray out (Guests), I'll slap them. If you stop overfilling your fricken cup, so it spills out the sides and sticks to the NON sprayed surface, you wouldn't have any issues. My hockey players didn't need it and they all knew how to use the waffle maker properly. LEARN folks.

Ok, that's way more effort, and makes me glad that I like my apple slices being larger. (I personally feel that if it's small enough for my mincemeat it's small enough for pie).
