Last time I went in for tires, I asked about the road hazard warranty. Apparently at that store (Firestone corporate location), the RHW is only valid if you can prove that you've rotated your tires (at your own expense) every 7500 miles. Um, yeah right.

I did purchase it, if I remember correctly, but if I ever need to call them on it I probably couldn't use it. So far I've lucked out anyway; the few times I got punctures they weren't classed as unrepairable.

Ugh F*Stone, they are like from what I have heard bout their 'lifetime' alignment policy. If the tires are not evenly worn then they won't do it, this is from what I have heard from ticked customers who just came from there.

We give free life of the tire rotations and balancing when you buy tires with us. The Rd Hazard is the extra buy.

But.... if your car needs the alignment done, it will cause uneven tire wear!

I spent $850.00 for 5 new tires on my Jeep and the road hazard was $20, so it's $4 a tire for me. I've already had two nail punctures fixed and the way this city leaves potholes the size of Montana, I'm sure I'll blow a side wall sooner or later. Still, it's paid for itself already. (I had to buy new tires for the Jeep because of age, not mileage. My Jeep is a '99 and it only has 57,000 miles on it. The sidewalls of two of the tires failed within 2 weeks of each other. Ozone ate them.)
