    We were having problems with that in the public bathrooms at the DMV. So our (actually very nive) landlord had hand dryers installed. This actually saved us money since we don't have to buy paper towels less than half the time we used to.

    But now the idiots in the womens bathroom are trying to flush tampons and pads. Ewww.
    To seek it with thimbles, to seek it with care;
    To pursue it with forks and hope;
    To threaten its life with a railway share;
    To charm it with forks and hope!

      i am not surprised.

      women are not cleaner. i've seen some really nasty people.
      Sad to say, this is true. And we have one additional bodily fluid easily available for a few days each month, which some people seem to think is an excuse to make an unholy mess in a public restroom.
      When you start at zero, everything's progress.

        Much to my disgust I discovered earlier today a sucky customer intentionally plugged up the toilet in the men's room.

        How do I mow it was intentional?

        Because the asshole that did it (pun definitely intended) did so by removing about two thirds of the paper seat covers and dropping them as a stack into the bowl, then flushing.

        I had to don a pair of rubber gloves and fish them back out. VERY fortunately, the stack was still sticking up out of the water and the top part was dry, but still, it wasn't fun.
        People are disgusting, and from what I hear, this happens more in women's washrooms than men's. Pretty sure they don't do this at home, they save it all for public restrooms. Gross!

          I must be a masochist because I WANT a few of those stories. Please?
          Little kids... throw up a lot. A LOT. Unrefrigerated tuna or baloney sandwiches probably have something to do with that. Elementary school is a cesspool of bacteria, so it's not really surprising the creative ways kids can upchuck lunch. One room temperature tuna sandwich and a juicebox of grape drink. Add one apple. Now imagine what happens when it all comes back up. Got a picture? Good. I shouldn't be the only one to suffer.

          University - a whole lot of kids away from their parents for the first time. I did a regular rotation around the campus twice a day just picking up dishes from the cafeteria. It took about 2.5 hours each round. Some of the things I've found stuffed in glasses and cups are just gross. And bathroom habits are even worse. Let's just say that some young women are the furthest thing from ladies it's possible to be and still identify as female. I was disgusted and I was the same age as the average student at the time.

          Wal-Mart... no. Not gonna go there, except to say that I still don't understand how it is possible to have explosive diarrhea to the extent that you paint the floor, walls of the stall and the 10-ft ceiling and somehow leave the toilet absolutely pristine. That's the least gross story I've got, sorry.
