Apparently the guy in the OP doesn't set his priorities straight at all. While it's perfectly fine to keep up with the news of the British Royal Family, setting aside important obligations aside for that IMO is just plain silly.

Besides, in this day and age, there are DVR's and the Internet to keep up with all the news. It's not like he's going to die if he doesn't hear all the latest news immediately.

A bit of an oldie, but after the Falklands war, reporters asked Prince Andrew if he received special treatment aboard ship (he was a chopper pilot in the Royal Navy, frequently flying "decoy" missions to fool Exocet missiles into going over the ships). I just got that. I heard it before and I thought, "That's wierd, I've never heard of anyone doing that with pictures of their gran at a stag do before."

I will say this for Kate: Prince William picked a fine specimen of woman to marry. She seems smart and mature, and I wouldn't kick her out of my bed (although some would say that isn't a particularly high hurdle. ).

She just generally has a "not a total fuckup" vibe about her, which is more than I can say about some members of the Royal Family (I'm lookin' at you, Prince Chuckie Tampon.).

That said I plan to pay as little attention as possible to the wedding and the news surrounding it.
