  • The real reason we keep records of past guests

No, it's not so we can look up a previous reservation and copy their info for a new reservation.

SC: How much are your rates?
    Me: I've got a rate of $69.99
SC: Can you go lower? I have AAA
Me: Yes, I can bring it down to $63.
SC: Last time I was here, you guys let me have the room for $44
*My bullshit alarms go off. The lowest anyone here can go is $59.99
Me: What's your name? I'll pull up your previous reservation.
SC: *Gives first and last name*
Me: I see you staed here before at a rate of $69.99. So the rate I'm offering you is a better rate than that.

SC decides he doesn't want the room.
To right the countless wrongs of our days... We shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise...Oh, what a wonderful world such would be...

Heck 63 is an awesome rate!
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

I remember getting some ridiculous stories like that when I worked in retail. I worked for a company that basically NEVER discounted any of its products (think high end electronics). I had a guy tell me a sales rep visited his company and gave them "50% off" on our most popular item.

I said, "Wow, what a great deal. I hope you bought a couple."

Don't think he said much after that.
