WHY?!? Why do you insist on completely trashing our store? Why do you pull lights out of boxes and leave them? They're the same kind that have been around for YEARS. You don't need to look at them. There's a picture on the box! Why, oh why did I have straighten the same endcap three times in one shift? Why can't you all set a single item down where you got it? Why do you insist on parking 8,000 carts in the walkway? Just push it the 4 feet over so other people can get through. There's no cart fairy! And finally, WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING! I am tired of fearing for my safety every time I exit an aisle.

I have a small amount of OCD..so I'd probably be there trying to clean up, and just make things worse.Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

I hate it when people make a mess of my store.
I work in shipping and receiving. It is part of my job to make sure things are put where they belong, and I do a lot of this, since 99.9 % of the time I am out on the floor, I am downstocking or putting out new product. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to this, everybody knows what sections I have worked because everything is stacked neatly and in order. Needless to say, seeing my hard work trashed in a matter of minutes makes me crazy.
People think that an empty shelf or bin is a dumping ground. I have emptied a shelf or a bin only to come back, no more than 10 minutes later, to find all manner of junk just dumped there. It could be a co worker, but I doubt it, since I work early and almost everyone on with me is in shipping and recieving (except for the cashiers, but they are up front). The customers really need to stop doing this.

The answer is plain and simple -
Because some people are dirty pigs and slobs. These are probably the same people who spray their shit all over the toilet and treat us like we're the assholes. Sadly, these things will never change. I too get pissed when a display I worked on gets destroyed. But I also figure fuck it, I get paid for it either wayDammit !! ~ Jack Bauer

This kind of thing had me feeling sorry for the local K-mart employees. I was in the lingerie section the other day. What a mess! Things that should have been hanging were stuffed on top of racks; items were hung up on the wrong rack, lying on the floor, tangled up with other hangers. I put some stuff back where it belonged just to get it out of my way so I could find what I wanted. I don't blame the employees one bit. The place was a zoo and I'm sure they had too much to do to keep up with it.When you start at zero, everything's progress.

Quoth Gamegirl View PostThe worst part about this is when I am out shopping I desperately want to tidy up their stores. God I need a vacation.OK, so for the last 2 hours I've been helping the cafe girl, who was scheduled to work alone. Kids keep leaving straw wrappers and used straws everywhere, when the trash is four feet away. One left a used straw on top of the trashcan housing. Why not put it IN the trash?? You're right THERE. Ugh.

I'm always tempted to thank them for bringing it up for us to put back. Dumbasses.
They all seem to believe in the cart fairy. They think she cruises around with the cleaning fairy and the genie who grants our wishes and magically puts everything back in it's place.I'm sorry, but I've reached my maximum allowable exposure to stupidity limit for the day. I do that!
Usually, I lag behind my family because I'm COMPELLED to straighten things on the shelf! And D*MNED if I can look at cds or games in a store - I end up alphabetizing them!
No wonder we all exude "retail monkey" and people ask us if we work at 'store' when we don't!Teach a SC to fish... and they will whine about you not catching, filleting, frying, and serving it up on a silver platter for them. - EvilEmpryss
