No, your daughter and her friends cannot have a room. NONE of them are 21 and I am not being held responsible for your child. They aren't my responsibility, I did not give birth to her.



Yes, there is ONE case maybe two, where I will let someone 18 stay. 1) If they were sent here by Red Cross. Hasn't happened yet. 2) If they're in the military. You don't have to be 21 to serve or give your life for this country. Just show your military ID and we're cool.

I'm not sure why my company's policy to let anyone stay that's of legal drinking / gambling age (that's what I'm sticking to) is wrong, nor is it wrong to let men and woman stay here with other men and woman and I'm not really sure why you think that affects why you're daughter isn't staying.

It could also be construed as "entrapment", if I am using the term right . . . as in, the clerk could reasonably tell when the parents rented the room and were not seen on property, there was something going on, and it never should have reached that far.

And not be held responsible for the damages either. Depending on how young the minor is, contracts can't be enforced with them, so the hotel wouldn't have a recourse to get any damages.

Now if the parent signed in for the room, and left it in the care of the kids, the parents would be responsible for the room condition (absent normal wear and tear and such). I suspect the "mother" is aware of that case to some degree and thus is trying to avoid getting into it.

I have a nagging feeling that this was part of the plan--to get ahead or at least out of paying for the room and damages via a suit.

My mother would never allow me to trash someone elses property to save hers.

Entrapment: the mom could possibly call that one claiming... "The hotel KNEW i was leaving my kids behind there! They set me up on purpose!!!"

(and cops can do that cos... well that's how they do sting operations. like when they have a cop pose as a prostitute).



but... at least the mom didn't try saying something really stupid (stupider) like "But you let me do it last weekend!"
