I think you should press charges. Vandalism, putting hotel employees at risk with a health hazard...yeah, she deserves a little time at the Greybar Hotel for that.
(Has anybody ever figured out why people smear their feces all over hotel rooms or public bathrooms? I understand the "I don't have to clean it" mentality, but this goes beyond normal slobbing out.)
I've always told people who are so sure of this "law" to call the cops, 1 person actually did, the cops came down and told said person, to their face, that no such law exists and stop wasting their time.
I wish I could've bottled the scene for sale

Dear sweet zombie Jesus, I do not envy you hotel employees. If it had been me, I wouldn't have even bothered saying anything when this person came back in, I probably would have just tossed them out on their ass.

You did that and DIDN'T have a video camera ready? Shame on you.
My God, that is disgusting! Thank God the SC was banned, but what about pressing charges or charging her for the damage she left behind in that room?

I think most normal people if they had an accident like that (although I cant think it was an accident form the decsription would ask for cleaning equipment or go and buy some take the worse off then go and apologise and explain, or leave a note) i would.
Giant blood pool in the hotel room once from me (ruined the bed, a few pillows and probably the mattress), Boyfriend left a note apologizing and offered to pay for the cost. The housekeeper refused it but I still felt horrible. What else could I do?

I really can't believe they didn't get charged for the damages. I mean, deposits and credit card information isn't a hidden fee, and ccs are traditionally charged for incidentals and damages. Ick.

"Yes you can rent another room. but first you have to clean up your previous one."
Here's a toothbrush to use.
Seriously though, that goes beyond "I don't have to clean"--leaving the towels on the floor and empty food containers on the desk qualifies here. The SC in the OP was vandalizing the room.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!
I'm in agreement with those who say the hotel should file vandalism charges. I think such a blatant case of vandalism qualifies as a valid reason to refuse service to this particular sucktomer.

If it had been me, I wouldn't have even bothered saying anything when this person came back in, I probably would have just tossed them out on their ass.a mop and bucket and told them to get to work...
Fixed that...
WTF. Apes fling their shit everywhere. Humans do not.
"And then we'll make you brush your teeth with it! What, that's too gross for you? Yeah, that's how our housekeeper felt about your 'repainting' the room."
Nope, don't feel sorry for her at all. Word will get out. If you insist on being an asshole, don't be surprised to find that nobody wants to do business with you.
