      Technically she didn't work at the place, she was part of a company hired to clean the place.

      But yeah, she did that.

        The fact that you apologized, offered to pay for damages (and obviously didn't do it on purpose) shows that you were truly sorry. Customers who make a mess and are genuinely apologetic are usually shown more leniency than those who make a mess and demand you to clean it up. Decency and humbleness make a lot more friends than arrogance and viciousness.
