I stopped spending time with her a short while later, though. She was an overall icky person, and I was better off not keeping up the friendship.
The Twit was like that. I can't vouch for what she was like going out to eat, but if the way she acted with me and to store employees was any indication she was probably a gimmie pig.

My father is also a bit of an SC (he used to carry an S-bucks paper cup around in his car and get refills until the cup fell apart, but was humbled--I think--upon running into a few locations that only gave refills if you remained in the store). He's just a Type A and gets on my nerves a bit at times...I once showed him this site when I was working at the bookstore and he started to act better. My mom's awesome, especially to waitstaff (she used to oversee/train waitstaff and wait tables).

My grandmother was/is horrible...she's a narcissistic nightmare anyway, so that explains that. She used to be fairly pleasant to workers when I was little...*wonders what happened*. My grandfather was as sweet as could be to every employee/waiter/clerk he dealt with.

My parents are great. Wonderful, patient people. Heck, most of my family is great.

And then there's my older sister, who I have mentioned here repeatedly: The Wicked Witch of the West. You've heard the phrase Queen Bitch? She was promoted to Empress. I shit you not. Look up "domineering bitch" in the dictionary, and there'll be a picture of her waving at you. Or more likely waving you over so she can order you around.

Now, I have to be fair here. She DOES tip well, and on many occasions can be pleasant enough. But. If she is organizing something, and you are staff? Expect the steamroller effect. Because she is GREAT at organizing stuff, she really is, but she doesn't care whose toes she has to flatten to get it done. (Great if you are the one whose event she is organzing, but lousy if you are staff for said event.) Even if she isn't organizing something, if she feels like she hasn't gotten her way, she is domineering, bossy, rude, bitchy, demeaning, condescending, and downright mean. Which makes her a topnotch Grade A world-class SC at those times.

No, I really don't care for the woman all that much. Probably because the above behavior is the majority of the behavior she has exhibited towards me in the last few years. (This is not some pent over angst from childhood.) And due to this, not much of my family is all that surprised by my dislike for her. More's the pity, as she truly is a fantastic cook (she has more talent in the kitchen than anyone I've ever seen, including tv), and I would love to talk food with her. Ah well. C'est la vie.

So if any of you know of any openings in or around Grand Rapids, MI for a Japanese speaker who can type 93 WPM, send me a PM!

We could be anywhere, if there is a wait, then it is the end of the world for my parents.
Ah yes, people come into my restaurant on a Sunday morning at 11:00 and get disgusted with a 10-minute wait. They'll ask, "Are you SURE you don't have anything open right now?"

Pretty sure I don't. Seeing as how there are 10 other parties AHEAD of you on the list and we don't have a table for THEM yet, I'm guessing you'll have to wait, too.

Then some of them think just because there's a wait, we must not know what we're doing, or we can't handle the rush.

I'm sorry, would you like me to seat you on the ROOF???
