To be honest it was a strain on me....the stress caused me to break out in exema (how ever its spelt) the doctors put me on anti depressant tablets, i was drinking more than i should and i stopped going to the gym completely which i used to do around 5 times a week.

I quit one job at a nightclub 2 nights a week coz i wasent feeling up to it, and i cant get that back now its over

And aparantly i cant do nothing about the woman who started all this....and the cops cant be held accountable as it was done according to the book....

At one point i nearly left the Mrs as she was of the opinion it was something i could have done if i was wound up enuogh......

And after all that im told to be gratefull i was found innocent....my health is a joke, i have put on weight which im not happy with, my relationship with the mrs was strained, all of my employments were at risk and now i dont feel at home on my nights off without a can in my hand......

I'm glad this was ruled in your favor. What she did wasn't sucky, it was pure evil.

She fucked up five months of your, and your family's life. Not to mention any stress that may be ongoing for you and/or family members.

So, even though you may want to put this whole thing behind you, I agree with what others have said. Sue her. Big time.

People that pull this kind of crap need to know they can't get away with it. And I don't mean just by losing their case that was based on phony charges. You should be the recipient of a good part of any assets she has, and she should be locked up.

JustaCashier has a good idea buuut that will also take more time and then you might further the image that you really are a bully...at least in court. Its not worth it and it honestly shouldn't have gotten that far it should have been stopped as it was your word verses hers.

This statement has me very concerned, Rebel. It will be all too easy for you to become dependent on alcohol. I strongly urge you to quit drinking completely, and attend an AA meeting. This dependency can all too quickly destroy the rest of your life: your job, and your marriage.

I'm sorry you had to go through all that. Some people just aren't happy unless they're making someone else miserable, and this old biddy is a prime example.

They really should consider a video camera setup in that place. A good video of what happened would've put a stop to her story PDQ.

I know, easier said than done to not depend on substances to make things more bearable and calm, but turning to booze to help you cope will wreck things even further. Be gentle with yourself; the last few months have been hell for you and the last thing anyone needs after months of stress is more stress.

Even if the criminal justice system say you can't do anything about the old harpy, there would still be a possibility that you could bring a civil action against her.
However, although I know I originally spoke about suing, having read yours and others' comments on here since, I'm now more inclined to the view that it would do you more harm than it would do her. You really don't need any more stress now.
Find out about some kind of counselling, and if finances run to it, try to get away with the family for a short break somewhere. I know it's a cliche to talk about a 'change of scenery' but it really can help to be somewhere different for a little while.
