Background on this guy: self-important, high-maintenance, very slow to leave after transactions, holding up the line. Always. But I've never been rude, just won't generally continue the conversation if I've said goodbye & am on to the next person. Also, I've patiently resolved issues for him, and he seemed satisfied. So tonight I came in from lunch & waited to take over for B, who was serving the SC. I was minding my own business, no contact until the SC mentioned something about something I did last time. I was having trouble understanding, honestly. He went on and on about how B is so good at customer service and I'm not, need to live up to B, etc, etc. As far as I could make out, the offense was that he once said he thought we had a goo store & apparently I didn't fall down and worship him for bestowing a compliment. I may not have even heard him, was maybe on to the next person, maybe declined to say anything out of politeness 'cause I didn't agree. He berated me in front of people purposely to belittle me. It was a slap in the face for all the help I've given him. And I was right there for B's transaction with him; it was really no different than any of mine.

And take comfort in the fact that anyone and everyone in line behind him, or indeed within earshot, thinks he's a roll of used arsewipe. Noone was impressed with him at all, that's for damn sure.
