Kids can legally spend their money. (They do it all the time!) Although I *believe* that actually I can NOT sue her (even though she said I could) for the rest, because she can't legally make a contract.

Ie. she could legally give me all the money up front and get the costume, but she can't legally arrange to make payments on it, as that's a contract not a purchase.

Not a lawyer here though, so don't quote me on that.

<------ am a lawyer, and you are correct. She can spend her money making a purchase, but cannot make a contract for a purchase. And you cannot sue her, because she cannot be held to a contract made by someone under the age of minority.

As for selling it, surely there's some drama group (maybe one that specializes in children's productions? I'm thinking like a fantasy story production) that might be interested in it? They would be more likely to have skinny people that could fit in it, as well as find it appropriate for a character in one of their productions. In fact you could market it as such on your auction site. Just a thought.

I'm not sure a radiation hazard husky is an appropriate mascot for a children's group...

And I have no idea how to reach such groups specifically. It's all well and good to say "market it as such", but going "This would be great for your drama group production!" on my website won't bring anybody involved in such groups to come look at it.

It's not really about how you describe a thing so much as it is about who you can reach with said description. People who visit my site are 99% furry fandom people, not theather or children's group people. (I mean, it's a good idea, if you can think of any specific way to get the message to that particular market, but it's not a market I know well, and I haven't got any ideas.)

That is an extremely well made costume.

I'm still trying to get over the bit where the 13-year-old said she had a credit card. ::boggled::
Probably one of those prepaid ones since she had an actual dollar amount on it. Those are common, I get them all the time for shopping online since I don't want a card number that can be stolen or if I don't particularly trust the security on the website I'm ordering from. Rare, but happens.

In the US, the minimum age allowable for one to enter into legally binding contracts is 18.

If the 13 year old failed to pay, you wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on.

I'm personally not a furry either, but the costume looks absolutely beautiful!

All you have to do is find a furry-raver with money to blow and you'll have yourself a buyer.

Someone tell Jester to lose weight and fulfill my new sexual fantasy of having him dance for me in that suit.

Sorry about the sucky customers! Not to mention the underage ones.

It's a wonderful costume but the head is just impeccable! I sew and I know how incredibly difficult something like that is.

                      Thanks.

Honestly I've done better, it's fine but not my very best work. My best work tends to happen when I have at least a little creative control. But heaven forbid most customers let the artist make any decisions, they want to dictate every tiny little detail!

(I'm not going to comment on anybody's sexual fantasies. :P )

Jester wants a green husky suit, I just know it.
How does it feel to be so completely and utterly wrong?

I still say that Jester would totally rawk that.
Would I rock it? Of course I would. Would I wear it? Almost no chance. Would I buy it? My apologies to the maker, but no. Not something I would spend my money on, as it doesn't really interest me.

Jester would need to have a 30" waist to rawk it...
Just slightly over that, and hopefully soon back to it. Most of my current pants are 31s or 32s.

                          Gift cards. 'Nuff said.

By the way, I am going to say that the 13 year old is not as much a blithering idiot as the rest, as she just doesn't have experience with the real world yet, so she may truly think that such begging will persuade the seller. It's not a matter of being stupid, it's a matter of lack of experience.

I am losing weight and inches, but it seems you are going to remain frustrated on this particular point.
