We had a lady show up 10:30 at night, and not finish her shopping until about 11:00, when all the cashiers had gone already and all that were left were stockers and someone running SCO.

Apparently she called and complained to corporate, and said that all the cashiers left at 10:30 and she was forced to use SCO. So now cashier clock out times on closing shift are being very, very carefully watched, and they can't leave even a minute before 11:00.

I have to admit, I would be kinda ticked if that happened to me, but I wouldn't call corporate, that's just stupid. Am I correct in thinking that calling the store would be the correct thing to do here?
Calling the store is the most appropriate action. The customer would have gotten most likely a free cinnastix in addition to the proper dipping cup, probably within another half hour at most. This kind of thing happens and we are prepared to promptly take care of it if it does. This guy's is a DB for taking such a simple issue that far.

I think I can top this one: our ex-manager had a customer threaten *multiple times* to call corporate because I was "Too polite" to him.
      You just did.

If the store is open until 11:00, I don't have a problem with this, to be honest. Not everyone is able to do the self-checkout, and if you say you're open till 11, then you should be able to check people out till 11. At the very least, if the management is going to let the cashiers go early, they should be prepared and able to cash people out at either SCO or an actual till.

I would've complained...but to the store, not corporate.
come Becks you should know SCs have to go for MAXIMUM FREEBIE stuff. the store just would have sent out either a cup of icing or a new correct order of Cinn Stix with the correct icing, BUT Corp ALWAYS showers SC/scammers/complainer/ whinners/wimperers with lots and lots of free stuff, thus getting the full "benefit" for their "trouble"
