Here's a quick one, just happened.
I work in a call center. Sometimes when we're talking to a dispatcher/tech, they have to take another call. No problem. As long as you don't put me on hold more than a minute or two, that's fine. But this just happened.
I get a call, and start talking to the tech. He gets as far as giving me a case number, then I hear a phone ring in the background. Without so much as asking/telling me he's going to take the other call, can I hold, etc, he just sets me down, as I'm trying to confirm the case number he gave me, mind you, and picks up the other phone. I hear him chatting away for a minute or two, then he comes back to the phone, and, as an afterthought, asks if he already gave me a case number. Grr.
Again, I don't care if you put me on hold, just ask me first, please!
