A woman was with her son buying chicken and a bag of red potatoes. The potatoes were $2.99 for a 5-pound bag. She sees this price and complains that it should be $1.49 and there's a big sign right there. I first look in the circular to see if there are any potato sales and then I page the produce department to have them do a price check. No one calls me however so I call the produce department's number, but again I get no answer. So now I call the front end manager to do the price check. Right after the manager goes off to get the price check, the woman yells out "Excuse me but this is taking really long and I don't have all day! Just forget it and I'll go look myself!" I tell her that the manager just went to do the price check and that she should be back shortly.
So, what's with the "mother of the year" you ask? During all this, her son was moving slightly and jumping up and down a little bit but it wasn't like he was completely running off or doing anything crazy and that a normal young boy who was bored while shopping with mommy wouldn't do. She screamed at him everytime he did anything, grabbed him and spanked him not once but twice, and threatened huge timeouts and sitting in the corner time. All because he wasn't standing as still as a statue.
Back to the potato price check. Manager calls me back and says that $1.49 is the price per pound of loose potatoes and there is a sign right above the bagged potatoes that says they are $2.99. After I tell the woman this she says "You really need to check your stuff here!!" and then storms off to get I'm assuming loose red potatoes. When she comes back, she buys... a bag of this time regular potatoes that were the exaxt same price.
