I have to agree with the OP.

I understand her frustration, but she was being an SC at times.

As for taking the kids someplace else...it might not be so easy.

Hell, I live across the street from the park and I'm not always fond of taking my nieces and nephews there because there are sex offenders around here. Hard to let the little ones have fun and run around if I have to chase after them (damn, they're fast) and keep an eye out for pervs.

Okay, so there's a live wire in your backyard. You call the electric company. Wise idea. They put you on hold and aggravate you. Okay, I can see that. You finally get through to them, and they tell you the earliest they can get to your situation is tomorrow. Now, you could throw a bitch fest as this woman did. And frankly, I could understand that.

Or, if your real concern is the happiness and well-being of your nephews, maybe you'll take them to play outside somewhere else, other than your backyard where there's a live fucking wire! Just a thought.

Thank you for saying this! OK, so it sucks that there's a power line down, I absolutely agree. But seeing how it's just NOT going to get fixed today, it's not the end of the world if the kids have to spend one nice day indoors! OR GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Geez, don't they have parks in her city?*
