      I love this one as well. I've had customers that will call in and will rush to get off the phone because they "have an important meeting" or "are in the middle of their job and can't talk", yet you see notes on the account showing these same people calling back in, upset because they were not given the proper information.

        Ooh ooh! I have more, in regards to all the time zone comments above.

        ~If you are going to call at 6:55PM on a Friday night, knowing that we close at 7PM, do not expect me to be able to move mountains. You can place an order, but no, it will not ship til Monday. I can create a case, but no, it will not be addressed til Monday. And if you waited until now to address some major issue, I will lose that tiny bit of respect I granted you, and be annoyed when I have to stay late to tell you that you're an idiot.

        ~Even if the call center I NOW work in is open 24/7, that does not mean that all the specialty people are here 24/7. It means that I am here, and can page someone out if you have an emergency. You being an idiot does not constitute an emergency.

        ~Be aware that even if your entire system is down, if it goes down at 11:30PM, it might take 20 minutes to get a tech on the line. He is probably asleep, and we have to call the answering service, who will page him, who he will call back before he calls us. This takes more than a few seconds.

          ~If its 4:58pm, and you know that we close at 5pm, don't put me on hold, don't chit-chat with you neighbors volleyball coaches son, don't argue over your bill, don't ask tech questions, don't give me your life story. How about this...just don't call.

                  I totally agree. I hate when people call and get mad when I ask them for their information. Like I'm supposed to be a mind reader.
