  • Your dog is loose in the parking lot

This is more of a sighting except I was at work so...

Right at the end of my lunch I heard something I never heard before - a voice on the loudspeaker during working hours.... and the voice was notifying the owner of one of the vehicles to take care of the dog cos it had gotten out and was running loose in the parking lot. A few minutes ago they passed the same message AGAIN because ... well the dog was still running loose. Yeah... he hadn't gotten his dog yet?

I went up to see if it was a cute dog but the guy at the door shrugged. And then pointed out the dog owner as he came back in. Wait... you're coming BACK in? Where's your fucking dog man? ... Yeah back in the car while you shop?

It was late afternoon but the sun was still up and ... it was pretty hot here. I estimate it was in the 90s while the dog waited in the car.

Then fast forward about an hour and a half later... They passed the word for the man to come up to the front of the store again.

WTF? Your dog has been in the car for over a fucking hour in the heat while you shop?

I looked up to the entrance and saw.... A police officer waiting.
    Good.

I just hope the dog is OK.

I'm glad someone called the cops, that guy was an asshole he should've left the dog at home.

In the 90's?? That poor dog. And the owner is a grade-A super-asshole.

There was another thread on here, not long ago, about someone leaving their elderly dad in a hot parked car. Infants, elderly and pets are frequently left in cars, and all too often suffer brain damage or die from the heat within the car.

Every car owner should read How Hot Do Cars Get? But it seems like no matter how many public service announcements, news stories or websites there are, some thoughtless jackass will leave their loved on in a hot parked car, then wonder why they died.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Sadly yes and in Florida, there's been countless times on the news that it's happened with thoughtless parents and even a daycare employee leaving kids or pets in hot ass cars and the poor things end up dead. Glad somebody called the cops on that jerk! I hope he got what he deserved!
