As much as I deeply dislike the Canucks (I'm an Avs fan, and even if I wasn't, I wouldn't be too keen on an organization that issued orders to players resulting in a broken neck and career ending injury for an opposing player), I am very, very curious as to how the run deep into the playoffs has "altered" your commutes to and from work.

As for my commute, it's crazy down town every time there's a game. Like shoulder to shoulder crazy. It usually takes till 3 or 4am to die down completely.

I can't say I haven't had similar thoughts and/or actions in my drunken life.

I don't know if I'd give this guy the level of presitge Jabba possessed. I mean, if this guy were in charge of the palace Han Solo could have been freed by Jar Jar Binks, much less a gay droid and his companion long before any real bloodshed took place.

I can't say for sure that I am or am not that persistent in such things, but I can say without question that I seem to be very persistent in insisting to friends, bartenders, security, strangers, police, whoever, that I am NOT in fact dozing off/sleeping, despite all evidence in favor of that very fact.

I have far more faith in people's tendency to have sex anywhere and everywhere imaginable than in the reliability or foolproof nature of said security camera system.

In Vancouver, Boston, the rest of Canada, and the rest of the hockey world, sure. South Florida, perhaps not as much. Oh, it will still be almost impossible to avoid....but not as much so as if I lived in or was going to be anywhere near a city that really gave a shit about hockey. It's West Palm Beach--not Winnipeg.
