Personally, I like not having to wait for my food, especially if I'm on break at work and only have a set amount of time for lunch.

I was at Chipotle yesterday and it was rather busy. They were flying through the customers and getting them to the register. The lady in front of me looked VERY pissed they were so fast. She didn't say anything, but come on !! There were at least 15 other folks behind her.

I love Chipotle because no matter how awful the line is, they are freaking FAST!

Now I have never in my whole life worked in fast food, and even *I* know that the drive-thru people are on a timer. In several places I can even SEE the timer. Who doesn't know that?

I've always known that the Mexican Phone Company is one of, if not THE, fastest of the fast foods. It boggles my mind that someone could consider it to be TOO fast. Maybe she thought her order was pre-assembled and therefore old/cold?

Whenever DH or I go in there, we usually do the walk in, as we'll be ordering for the whole gang and don't want to hold up the drive-through. I think our "usual" order is something like 10 burrito supremes and 10 bean burritos. I don't think y'all want that order at the window.

Exactly!! Was the SC old? I get that whole "I want customer service people to chat me up and listen to my life story" point-of-view mostly from seniors. It may have been that way in 1955, but that was 56 years ago, lady.

Why, oh why can't they understand that they are NOT at "ye olde shop o' goods" sometime in the far distant past?!? I recently transferred to a different store and all of the personnel have been there for 13-14 years. We have a score of old ladies who want us to not only listen to their gossip but participate in it. Talking about my co-workers with SC's is NOT something I'm interested in doing. At all. So now that I've been there a few months and they finally figured this out, they "don't like me". That makes me happy cause they don't try to talk to me that much anymore.
But that was A N N O Y I N G while it lasted...

My store is the best in the area. Customers will go out of their way to visit my store. Due to this fact, we get very busy sometimes. People don't realize, when we have 30 orders in the store and a line of cars outside, everyone getting HUGE orders, it's going to take a while. Then they whine about how we "are the SLOWEST store EVER!!!!" Well then why do you come here? Because we are the cleanest, fastest, most friendly store around here.
