    Trust me, it's not just her store. ALL the fast food places get these people. I think the main problem is that people don't listen to what the person on the other end of the speaker is trying to say.
    There are some places where those speakers are so horrible that the person on the other end sounds like the teacher from peanuts and you have to guess at what they mean. While I haven't been on the other side I would bet there are times when the customers are not easy to hear either.

      My bosslady can't pronounce eastern names worth spit. It's like she sees them and her brain starts misfiring. So every so often when we get someone come through with a particularly difficult name, to the point where I can't even figure out how to pronounce it, I'll show it to her, just for laughs. Thankfully, we both find it amusing.

          I do the same sometimes, and sometimes I'll jokingly tell my wife, "You can't say tor-TIL-a very good!"
          Sometimes life is altered.
