I think my biggest problem with they guy was that I don't care if he makes 300$ an hour, he was the one who chose that day. Granted the installer missed the apointment, but sometimes things come up that we can't help. He's the one who chose that his tv was more important than his 300/hr

The few times I've had satellite stuff installed, I scheduled them on one of my days off. When I first got Dish Network, I chose a Tuesday, because gasp.. it was my day off. When I moved over to my grandma's house after she passed, I picked another day that was convenient for me to have it installed.
After my brother joined me at grandma's house, we decided that we would rather have DirecTV (mostly because of Sunday Ticket) than Dish. I picked a Sunday for installation because we would both be home.
Amazingly, I never missed an hour of work because of said installations. I guess when you make less than $20 hour, logic still applies as to when you book your appointments.

Quoth Mongo Skruddgemire View PostIt's quite possible that he does really make $300/hour, but the real question is how often does he work. I have a friend who teaches chess to children and he gets paid $60/hour. However he's usually only gets in 10 hours in per week.
$300/hour is likely a speciality consult that takes about an hour and he charges $300 for it...hence $300/hr.
Odds are he works 1-5 hours max.
