I know I'd never pull anything like that on anyone!
Of course not. You've got class, unlike these jerks; they just think they do because they're oh so rich. Yet another proof that money doesn't buy class.

They're just cheapskates. A lot of the rich people tend to be entitled cheapskates. I agree, money definitely doesn't buy class.

Yep, look at all the celebrity idiots in without class--Lindsey Lohan and Paris Hilton, for example Of course, we must also remember that "new money" usually acts like assholes, and "old money" is usually better behaved.
How do I know this? Well, one of my late grandmother's friends is "old money." You'd never know it by the way she acts though. Sure, she drives a nice car (which I had the honor of recommending for her, since I'm a "car guy"), lives in a big house, etc. But she doesn't go around demanding everyone kiss her ass because of it.

I do love that story, not the least because BoA has a good number of just awful stories about treating their customers terribly, including one where they had a customer arrested for being scammed on Craigslist.
I really don't care for BoA's "We made a mistake, but tough luck" attitude.
The Rich keep getting richer because they keep doing what it was that made them rich. Ditto the Poor.

I've never had them do this to me, and they have made a couple of mistakes in their favor in the last decade+ I've banked with them. But they've never eve blinked when I've told them to fix it and it's usually taken care of within a day.

Yeah, they never did it to me, either, although in their case it was more of a "We don't show any record of us having made a mistake, tough luck." That was what prompted me to dump them and open an account at Provident (now M&T Bank).

It's not even about being wealthy really. There's people in all income brackets who'd do shit like that. It's just about people who think they're too good to pay their bills for whatever reason they come up with.

Ugh. That sucks...tho I can see why a (less than honest) individual or corp would do that -- they know that if they never ADMIT to "mistakes" on paper, it will reduce the number of people who attempt to sue them over legitimate mistakes. The burden of proof will be *entirely* upon the customer if they don't record it...even though I would think they HAVE to record any and all financial transactions, even reversed ones, by law ...>_>

Yeah. I'd gotten another overdraft notice, but after the previous one, I was meticulous about keeping my records straight and accurate. And I still got one. When I went in to plead my case, they pulled up their records, and theirs and mine matched up. But they still told me I had to pay the overdraft fee.
So I did, then closed my savings account and took my business elsewhere.
